I grew up in Jerusalem to an American Haredi family, surrounded by an environment that spoke only English. English at home, English in kindergarten, and English with my friends. Until I switched to a Hebrew speaking school, knowing only a few words in that language. I still remember the helplessness I felt there. A little kid who knows exactly what he wants to say, but the language just won't come out. Just like you might feel today with English.

I No Speak Hebrew

That journey, from a kid who couldn't speak Hebrew, to a teacher who lives between both languages every day, gave me an understanding that most teachers simply don't have. I know exactly what it feels like to be unable to express yourself in a foreign language, and I have the tools to get you unstuck.

I teach using the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method. The emphasis is on your ability to express yourself confidently and get your message across clearly. Language is a tool for communication, not a test.

Education

I hold an English teaching certification (TESOL) from Arizona State University.

People in tech are busy. I know that. So my approach is built around integrating English into things you already do. Real learning happens outside the classroom, and you'll progress far beyond our one hour a week together.

I'm an English speaker with an authentic American accent, living and breathing the language here in Israel every day. I teach from a genuine understanding of the gap between Hebrew and English, and what it takes to bridge it.
